Dr. Michael B Krzemien was born and raised in Buffalo, NY where he graduated from City Honors School.  Through his studies, he has obtained both a dental degree (DDS) and medical degree (MD).  Dr. Krzemien attended dental school at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine.  After completing dental school, he worked as a general dentist in the Rochester area before pursuing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.   He completed his residency at St. John Providence Health System in the Detroit metropolitan area.  During this time, he obtained his medical degree from Wayne State Medical School. Dr. Krzemien has successfully completed board certification with the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

In his residency program, Dr. Krzemien covered multiple Detroit area hospitals including multiple Level I Trauma Centers. Dr. Krzemien’s anesthesia training included children and adults, with an extensive rotation at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. 

He practices a wide scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures.  This includes providing anesthesia/IV sedation, third molar (wisdom teeth) removal, dentoalveolar surgery, placement of dental implants, and bone grafting. He is involved with oral and facial reconstruction by treating maxillofacial trauma and providing corrective jaw surgery (Orthognathic Surgery).  He treats oral lesions/pathology, facial pain and temporomandibular joint disease (TMJ issues). Dr. Krzemien provides Botox injections for facial cosmetics.  More complicated cases are usually performed in the operating rooms at  Rochester General Hospital. He is an attending surgeon at the institution and teaches residents in both the oral surgery program and general dentistry program.
